Sunday Afternoons

are my favorite time of the week. (but only if I can get Landyn to take a nap!) I love to work on decorating, painting projects, and basically just get ready for the week ahead. Our church has Sunday School at night so we go back at 6pm. Lots of time for relaxing!

Today, I worked on decorating for Spring! I really need to make a shopping trip to TJ Maxx soon, need a few more spring related accessories for my kitchen and living room. I'll post pictures as soon as I finish.

I do feel the need of a little snooze coming on! Later...

Friday Favorites

Here is this week's list:

1. Hot Chocolate from Cafe Buono: I love the atmosphere in this Italian coffee place. My favorite drinks are their hot chocolate and fruit smoothies. WONDERFUL!!
2. Real decorating ideas from blogs I have discovered. I love looking at REAL pics-not made up for a photo shoot.
3. The colors red and green. I'm trying to incorporate more of these colors with brown as I redecorate the house we hope to buy. Can't decide what colors for the kitchen. What goes with purple/eggplant cabinets? I'm thinking new paint!
4. Studio M Designs. I found this blog yesterday and I am in love with sknobs! They are knobs that are hand painted and decorated and are so cute-you should go look their immediately. (www.studiomdesigns.blogspot.com)
5. Ruby Tuesday's Fresh Garden Bar: Love the fresh salad you get and the balsamic vinaigrette. Landyn loves the "black square croutons".

Hoping that tomorrow will be a much warmer day! Where is our warmer, spring weather we had last weekend?

Is it spring or winter?

Ok, so what is up with this weather? One day it's 80; next it's 32 with snow and sleet. I just Arkansas weather. Kordyn was wanting to get out of school early. I tried to explain that if they miss any more days, he will be going to school into June. They already have to make up 6 days and attend on Memorial Day! We had so many parents call school today to ask if we were closing. We want a spring break so NO! we did not close early! Can't wait to see the weather tomorrow!

Here is the 5th picture in my 5th file. It's one from our fall pictures that I took in front of the Byrd House at Montessori. Landyn began that fall and we always decorate outside for fall. I love the decorations we use every year. The "people"- we use to keep in our basement until our alarm went off one saturday and the police met me there and went into to secure the building and check it out (false alarm. When they got to the basement, the "people" were staring at them and it freaked them out. It was so funny so hear them talking about it!

Tuesday news

We are still waiting to see if our neighbor does want to buy our house. He is working out the details.

Loving this "spring" weather. NOT loving the idea that it leaves us tonight and turns back into winter. Just a little tease to make us break out the capris and flip flops.

Prayer Request

Please keep the Maryville, Ill First Baptist Church in your prayers. My friend from jr/high school, college roommate,and maid of honor at my wedding, her husband is the children's minister at this church. I can not even imagine what they are going through right now. This is such a warped and sinful world we live in.

Saturday News

Well, I did not ever get around to posting yesterday's favorites. By the time I did laundry, played with the boys and snoozed on the couch, my bed was calling out to me. Jason and Kordyn always stay up late on Friday nights (for father-son bonding, they say) and I'm not invited so I go to bed early and LOVE it!!

What's on schedule for today:
-Made Ugly Biscuits for breakfast
-Doing laundry (it multiplies over night you know!)
-Looking at houses online (even though we've found one we LOVE)
-Quick trip to grocery store for babysitter supplies (cokes, pizza and cookies)
-And, going on a date with Jason. Dinner and shopping @ Home Depot and Lowe's for appliances, mirrors, etc for the new house (the one we really want-just waiting to see how much our neighbor is willing to buy ours for)
