Saturday Errand Day

We had a busy Saturday. First, we headed over to the ASU Petting Zoo. The boys loved petting the pigs, goats, chickens, ponies, cows, horses,ducks and bunnies. Landyn even got really!! close to the donkey and looked him in the eye. Guess who got hit up for a bunny? That's right, Daddy! For the rest of Saturday, all we've heard is "Can we please get a bunny?" It is after all, an outside pet.

Then, it was time for haircuts, lunch, Lowe's for plants. After a nap, we then worked in the yard until dark. Still not finished, but it will have to wait until Monday afternoon.

Today, since it was such a nice, sunshiney day, Kordyn and Landyn did what any other boy living in the country with a gun: practice shooting boxes and other items found in the shed! Love the earmuffs-wish I'd have had some-it was LOUD!! Kordyn shot his 410 and Landyn shot Kordyn's bb gun.

Friday Favorites

1. Larry's Pizza-If you ever go somewhere that has one, try it. It is really good! I'm trying to talk Jason's parents into opening one up here. Larry is a member of my dad's church in Bryant. Wonderful and different than what you normally get at a pizza place.

2. Books- I love to visit book stores and browse! Kordyn also loves to read; his favorite is books on war. Jason likes for me to read fiction and then tell him the story. Landyn loves to look at pictures and pretend to read. Books are an important part of our lives.

3. Text messaging-LOVE IT!! sometimes you just don't have time for a long conversation, but just need to say something quick.

I'm an Aunt!

Happy Easter!

We've had a busy weekend. First, Kordyn had a sleepover with his friend, Layne. Then, Saturday, our church had an Easter Egg Hunt. Kordyn has outgrown these fun kid-things, I'm so sad! But, Landyn had a blast until the Easter Bunny showed up and then he was ready to go! The public library was having Brain Awareness Day so I took Kordyn and Layne there. They had a REAL human brain with spinal cord attached. It was gross-they thought it was cool (Jason did too!).

Today, we celebrated Easter at church. Our church has a special Easter offering for missions on Easter Sunday. All of the children are asked to bring 30 pieces of silver to put in the offering. They go to the front of the church as the offering plates are passed for the adults to contribute. Kordyn walked up with Landyn. They looked precious! Landyn was excited to bring his money to give to God. I was worried that he would not want to let it go when he got up there. I'm going to try to get a copy of the picture that they took of them.
