Emma birthday continued...

I knew I took more pictures than the last post had! Here is the birthday girl with crown on!

Playing with her zhu zhu hamsters we got her
We had a feast at lunch: hamburgers, hot dogs, chips & dip, salad, beans, potato salad
Landyn kept putting Peet's phone behind people and setting a timer on it; when it went off, a tooting noise was made! Typical 5 yr old little boy stuff:)

Emma's 8th Birthday

Our cousin Emma turned 8 last Saturday. Somehow, this is the only picture I got of her?? I was playing with my new camera (a Nikon  DSLR!)

 The Great-Grandparents: the Turners

A gymnastics birthday party

Landyn's friend, Ian had his birthday party at the gym. It was alot of fun! Nothing like spending 1 hour running and jumping all around!!

The pictures are a little dark but it was the best I could do!

A night of Bowling

We went out to eat with our friends the Gibsons for Mexican food!! Then we hit the bowling alley. This is Landyn's best friend, Stryker. He is soo cute!!
Ethan and Jake were both in my kindergarten class last year. We also go to church with Jake's family.
 Kordyn and his friend, Clay.
who thought they were too cool to bowl so they played with their phones.
 My friend, Amy
I was really proud of my spare!!
Kordyn was really sore from football off-season practice so he would only drop the ball not bend over to guide it-it was really funny to watch!
 The "little"boys!
Shawn's score! So glad we bowled with him-he made my score look really good!
What great friends we have! We can always count on them for a Mexican fix!!

Snow Day Fun

It was sooo cold outside, the boys lasted about 20 seconds-just long enough to take pictures!
They found their own form of entertainment! And were warm!!

Want to know how to make it snow??

Well, according to the teachers at another school here in Jonesboro, you just wear your pjs inside out, lick a spoon and sleep with it under your pillow and flush ice cubes down the toilet. Several kids did that and we are home with a SNOW DAY!!!!!! yeah! Pictures coming soon. Right now, we are just being lazy peoples!! And doing laundry!

Pour Some Sugar on Me

Here we come New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl!!

Landyn has his uniform ready to tomorrow night's game, the Arkansas flag is flying outside and we are ready to watch some awesome ball!

Here is the Razorback Fight song-just in case you want to practice before tomorrow night!

Hit that line! Hit that line!
Keep on going,
Take that ball right down the field!
Give a cheer. Rah! Rah!

Never fear. Rah! Rah!
Arkansas will never yield!
On your toes, Razorbacks, to the finish,
Carry on with all your might!
For it's

A-A-A-R-K-A-N-S-A-S for Arkansas!
Fight! Fight! Fi-i-i-ght

Saying Goodbye

We met my family in Searcy for dinner tonight and to say goodbye to Jeff, Amy, Maggie and Kaleb. They will be leaving to go back to Macedonia on January 15th. It was so hard to say goodbye because it will be about 3 years before we see them again! It makes me so sad to think that we will miss so much of the kids "younger years".

This is my brother Jeff and his gorgeous wife: Amy. (Am I forgiven for the previous bad pics I put on my blog of you, Amy?) The restaurant was so dark that I had a difficult time getting a brighter picture.
The "Williams" Grandkids, unless Jeff and Amy add to the mix because there will be no more "Turners" to add!!! Kordyn- 12 1/2 yrs, Kaleb-3 mo, Landyn- 5yrs, Maggie-19 mo.
And look who drove them home??? She even knew to push buttons when she got in the drivers seat!!
I will definitely have to keep up this blog better:) We love you guys!!

Btw, their blogs are listed on my favorite blogs to the right: American Baby in Macedonia (all about the kids) and Jeff and Amy Williams (about their ministry in Prilep, Macedonia).

New Year's Lunch with Granny Akin

Every New Year's Day, we go to Granny Akin's for our Annual Good Luck Lunch. The menu consists of: hog jowl, black eyed peas, cabbage, cornbread, rolls, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, 2 kinds of salads, chicken & dumplings and potato salad. Yummy!!!

The brothers slept after lunch. Notice how they are exactly the same:)

Our chef: Granny Akin (aka Jackie Akin)
We all had to take naps after this feast!!

Turner Dinner

We met Jason's grandparents, Aunt and Uncle, parents and brother and his family at Ruby Tuesday's for dinner this week. We had a great time visiting and laughing!! I had to put this crazy picture of Eric on here because he didn't want me to!

A Bedtime Snack?

This is Nana's idea of a bedtime snack: licking the chocolate from the bowl!! What was she thinking???

Williams Family Extended

Amy, Landyn, Amelia, Maggie and Andrea
Landyn and Bradey (my couisin's son)
My Great-Aunt Pauline, she is my grandfather's sister, and will be 91 on her birthday, Jan, 2
The kids were entertained by that huge green gun that we were fortunate to bring home with us:)

We ate and then played Dirty Santa with men and women gifts. It was really fun!
