Kordyn and Mrs. Walls
Mrs. Walls and Mrs. Young
Kordyn had a wonderful school year this year. His homeroom, reading, social studies teacher was Mrs. Walls. She is a wonderful person!!! Mrs. Young taught him math (which he doesn't care for very much except algebra). So thankful for an awesome year this year. And, I guess we're ready for Jr. High now even though I don't think so-I'm tooo young to have a child in jr. high!!

The work continues......
Landyn and Lindsey surpervising the work.
Seth and Jason hard at work laying the tile.
The mess in our living room!
We spent our Memorial Day holiday scraping off our kitchen linoleum floor, ripped out the carpet in our master bath (so ready for this:) prepped the kitchen floor, and starting laying tiles in the kitchen. Hope to finish today so we can grout later tonight. The mortar we got is a 4 hour dry time so it is going fast. So ready for the new floors!! Thank you Seth and Melissa for helping us.

Busy Memorial Day Weekend
While Kordyn is at school (last day since we aren't going for the makeup days because grades and attendance are done) and Jason is at work, Landyn and I have cleaned out everything on our bathroom floor into my bedroom, washed all of the laundry, cleaned out the pantry and laundry room. Why? because.......we are getting new floors this weekend!!! YEAH!! New porcelian tile for the kitchen and master bathroom. Not ready for the mess but ready for new floors.

Fun Saturday
We had a great day! Cleaned up the house, did a little laundry, cleaned out the refrigerator, went grocery shopping for the week, went to Pocahontas and grilled out with Jason's brothers family-fun times. After dinner, the kids played in their creek and had a blast. Then for dessert, Barbara made strawberry pie-Oh,my! It was sooo good.
Hello, weekend
I am sooo glad that it is Saturday! Got to sleep in til 7:30 this morning (that's late since I have a 4 year old!) ready to get my messy house cleaned up a little, do a little laundry and then go eat at Uncle Bucko, Aunt Barbara and Emma's house tonight for a cookout. Landyn will be so surprised when we get there and he gets to play in their creek!
Yesterday was my kindergarten class' end of the year party. It was fun. The parents gave me a Spa gift certificate-massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. And, they made me a Shutterfly book from the kids with pictures. Each child had a 2 page spread and said why they liked me, school, etc. It was soo great. I sat down last night and read it. They crack me up!!! We took them to lunch at the Jonesboro Country Club then we went to one of the girl's houses and had a water play party. This is a picture of the group posing. They are great group and I will miss them sooo much!!!

Kordyn
T-ball game
Landyn had a make up tball game last night. Nana and PaT were able to come to this one. So were Mamie and Peet-there were alot of clappers! (That's what he calls the people on the bleachers!) He played pitcher for half of an inning and he actually ran and got the ball instead of just watching it roll toward him. Then, he played first and short stop. Great ball game!!!

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to Nana and Mammie!(And Granny and Nanny Turner (who just came out of hip surgery and is doing well) But I am missing my grandmothers, Mammaw Jerry and Mammaw Margaret.
Thank you for being such great role models for me. I can honestly say that being a mother is the most rewarding and challenging thing I have ever done in my life, but I wouldn't change it for anything! God had given me the 2 most perfect boys (well, maybe not perfect but almost:) and I feel extremely blessed to be their mother-I make mistakes but am loved anyway. What more can you ask for?

Landyn's friend
Our Waiter
Wednesday night, Kordyn's Caravan class invited all of the 5th and 6th grade parents to dinner. They were our waiters/waitresses. Kordyn served us our drinks, an appetizer of spinach and artichoke dip and loaded baked potatoes, followed by cheesecake for dessert. Yummy! We enjoyed our evening being with Kordyn-he is growing up way tooo fast.
